The Report outlines two broad areas of focus:
A. The measures taken to advance reconciliation with Indigenous peoples; and,
B. The measures taken to support the self-determination of Indigenous peoples.
The report meets these objectives in three distinct sections on:

Departmental response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which describes CIRNAC’s activity to support Indigenous and Northern communities during the crisis;
-
Acknowledging and Addressing the Past, which describes ongoing efforts to acknowledge and address the harmful policies and programs of the past, as well as settle outstanding claims and grievances; and,
-
Creating Conditions for Self-Determination and Renewed Relationships, which describes ongoing efforts to support Indigenous self-determination, the conclusion of treaties and other agreements, and build more respectful relationships through partnership.
