Exposure, non-exposure and other reporting data from licensed facilities in Canada

Under the Government of Canada’s Human Pathogens and Toxins Act, facilities where controlled activities with Risk Group 2, 3 or 4 pathogens are carried out must have a pathogen and toxin licence. The licence requires facilities to adhere to specific safety protocols and reporting standards. Licensed facilities must report various types of incidents to the Public Health Agency of Canada, including exposure incidents, non-exposure incidents and other events that could impact facility safety. The datasets consist of exposure incident reporting (notification and follow-up reporting), non-exposure reporting and other event reporting data.
