Contained within the Federal Elections, 1968 to 2001, Atlas of Canada series, is a map that shows the results of the federal election on October 30th, 1972. This map sheet has a main map at 1: 7 500 000 which shows the outline of federal electoral districts and has colour to show the party which was elected for the district. The map is surrounded by 16 urban-area insets showing similar information. Twelve of these insets are at 1: 500 000, and four are at 1: 250 000. There is a table listing the members elected for each district and giving the percentage of the valid votes that each member received. There is also a table showing percentages of the vote received by each party in Canada as a whole, and in each province and territory.
