A type 6 motor vehicle inspection station (MVIS) is a collision and auto repair shop that: * is licensed by the Ministry of Transportation to inspect only salvage vehicles * employs registered and certified mechanics who are able to assess the structural integrity of a vehicle * can certify that vehicles meet minimum safety requirements
