The School Board Achievements and Progress reports include key indicators that measure student achievement and progress: - grade 6 reading results and improvement over time - grade 10 literacy results and improvement over time - completion of 16 or more credits by the end of grade 10 - completion of 23 or more credits by the end of grade 11 - graduation rates within 4 or 5 years of starting grade 9 Why this matters These indicators reflect key priorities in education, including early literacy, student achievement, and responsible financial management. They help show how progress is being made in your school board. How the information is collected The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) administers and calculates the results for the Grade 6 reading assessment and the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Each school board reports annually to the ministry on its progress.
