This publication explains the expanded and modernized Canada–Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA), which strengthens bilateral economic relations by improving market access and reducing trade barriers. It highlights new and updated provisions covering areas such as goods, agriculture and agri‑food, fish and seafood, trade facilitation, intellectual property, electronic commerce, labour, and the environment. The modernized agreement aims to support Canadian businesses, enhance competitiveness, and create jobs and growth across Canada.
