Housing Needs Assessment List

The List of Completed Housing Needs Assessments (LAHNA) and the List of Completed Territorial Housing Needs Assessments (LATHNA) are comprehensive lists of housing needs assessments (HNAs) which have been confirmed to be complete by Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC). Communities with a population of 30,000 or greater, and all Territories are required to complete an HNA to be eligible for federal infrastructure funding programs.

These lists outline whether the requirement applies to a community or Territory, identify any communities exempt through provincial agreements, and indicate which communities or Territories are required to complete an HNA have done so. For communities and Territories where an HNA is required, the lists include a hyperlink to the municipal or Territorial webpage where it may be publicly accessed.

These lists also include communities where an HNA is publicly available but is not required by HICC to be completed, along with hyperlinks to the webpages where the HNAs may be accessed. These HNAs have not been reviewed by HICC. Communities wishing to be added to these lists may email hna.secretariat-secretariat.ebml@infc.gc.ca to be included in the next update.
