Urban Growth Centres Boundaries for the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2006

The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2006 identifies 25 existing or emerging downtown areas as Urban Growth Centres. The plan establishes policies and minimum density targets to encourage their revitalization as vibrant, transit-oriented communities. The Province determined the approximate size and location of the urban growth centres. Municipalities then established their precise boundaries in official plans.
