Mpox (previously known as monkeypox) is a viral infection with a rash that may be painful. Most people recover without treatment after a few weeks.
The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is working with provinces and territories to investigate cases of mpox in Canada. Provincial and territorial public health units report data on cases of mpox from their respective jurisdictions to PHAC on a monthly basis.
Updates to the data and maps occurs monthly, on the last Friday of the month. The data may change retroactively as more information about previously reported cases becomes available.
