Post-18 Intervention Support Agreement Caseload by Indigenous Status

This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving post-intervention support through Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP) Agreements, by Indigenous status (Indigenous and Non-Indigenous). Young adults aged 18 to 24 who were previously involved with child intervention may be eligible for ongoing supports through TAP Agreements. TAP Agreements are based on the identified need of the young adult and can include financial support as well as support for housing, education, access to health services, vocational skills development, life skills mentoring, and connections to community and/or family members in order to support their successful transition to adulthood.   The data shows the average monthly number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous young adults in the province who were receiving post-intervention support through a TAP Agreement with historical information dating back ten years.   TAP was implemented in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, and fully replaces Support and Financial Assistance Agreements (SFAA). Post-18 Intervention caseload statistics include both TAP and SFAA depending on the fiscal year selected.   Information is available through the links listed below as aggregate data in excel, as visualizations in CI Interactive Data Tool and as descriptions of data fields and elements in the Data Dictionary.
