Ministers’ offices expenses

The dataset of “Ministers’ offices expenses” contains an annual report of all expenses incurred by the office of a head of a department or a ministry of state for the Government of Canada and charged to the Consolidated Revenue Fund. This dataset does not include civilian termination benefits and statutory expenditures such as the Minister's salary and motor vehicle allowance, employer contributions to superannuation and certain benefit plans and other items as specified in these policies.

The expenses of this dataset are broken into the following Standard Object codes:

  • SO1 – Personnel
  • SO2 – Transportation and communication
  • SO3 – Information
  • SO4 – Professional and special services
  • SO5 – Rentals
  • SO6 – Repair and maintenance
  • SO7 – Utilities, materials and supplies
  • SO8 – Acquisition of land, buildings and works
  • SO9 – Acquisition of machinery and equipment
  • SO12 – Other subsidies and payments
