This agreement sets out the security procedures for the exchange and protection of classified information between Canada and the European Union. It defines common standards for handling, storage, access, transmission, and incident reporting to safeguard shared information and enable secure cooperation in defence, foreign policy, and security matters. Signed in 2019, it facilitates operational collaboration while protecting national and EU security interests.
