Uniform Assessment

One measure of a municipality's financial health is its own-source revenue base as represented by the total uniform assessment. Uniform Assessment is the value of a municipality’s taxable property assessment plus the capitalized value of payments made to municipalities in lieu of taxes (i.e., grant-in-lieu).
