Trade names of pesticides authorized for use in daycares and schools

Daycares and elementary and secondary schools should be free of pesticides as much as possible. Thus, the application of certain pesticides is authorized, under certain conditions, inside or outside these establishments (Pesticide Management Code, arts. 32, 32.1 and 33).

Authorized products are:

  • biopesticides ();

  • pesticides containing any of the active ingredients listed in Annex II of the Pesticide Management Code.

These lists, made available for the purposes of applying these requirements, are administrative in nature and have no official value. They refer to pesticides containing any of the active ingredients listed in Annex II of the Code, with the exception of biopesticides. It indicates the type of product, its registration number under the Pest Control Products Act, its trade name, the authorized active ingredient it contains, and the class to which it belongs under the Regulations Respecting Permits and Certificates for the Sale and Use of Pesticides.
