Anti-icing fluid test results; Aircraft Services Directorate

The Aircraft Services Directorate frequently field tests their stores of “UCAR Endurance” aircraft anti-icing fluids to ensure they are safe for use. Testing measures the solution’s refractive index (glycol content), pH, and finally viscosity using the ‘falling ball’ method.
