The dataset shows For Safe Motherhood program claims entered in one calendar year and accepted on March 1 of the following year.

Pregnant or nursing workers can benefit from this program if their employment involves physical dangers to their health or that of the unborn child or if they are breast-feeding.

The objective of the program is to maintain employment for pregnant or nursing workers whose work involves physical dangers to their health or that of the unborn child. These workers may be assigned to another position or to other tasks or, if that is not possible, may be entitled to preventive withdrawal.
