Cyanobacterial and microbial community assessment in Lake Erie

Understanding the factors causing cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (cHABs) through a better characterization of the cyanobacterial and associated aquatic microbiome community. Assessing the role of the microbial community in terms of nutrient cycling. Using genomic tools to better predict which blooms have the capacity to become toxic.
