This dataset contains monthly and annual statistics of ocean wave parameters at global scale, including significant wave height, mean wave period and mean wave direction. The WAVEWATCH III (WW3) wave model was driven by surface winds and sea ice concentrations simulated by CanESM5 for the historical period 1995-2014, and the future periods 2041-2060 and 2081-2100 under two emission scenarios: SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5. WW3 was calibrated to adjust the energy transfer from winds to waves to compensate for the smoothing of extremes resulting from the coarse resolution of the climate model. Moreover, surface winds were bias-corrected using a multivariate quantile mapping bias correction. This dataset also contains the monthly and annual statistics of the corrected and original surface winds, including surface wind speed and wind direction.
