List of active licenses of the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec

List of active licenses from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec

In Quebec, anyone who carries out or has construction work carried out must hold a license from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ), unless exempt by law.

You must therefore hold a license if you are a:

  • Construction contractor who performs or has work carried out for a third party, but also who submits, solicits customers or even places an ad in a newspaper or elsewhere.

  • Promoter who contracts to sell a building (house, condominium or other) or a street that he built, had built or that he promises to build or have built.

  • Owner of a building, equipment intended for public use or an installation subject to the Building Act who himself carries out work on his own behalf. You must then have an owner-builder license.

The dataset shows all active RBQ license holders.
