List of active licenses from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec
In Quebec, anyone who carries out or has construction work carried out must hold a license from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ), unless exempt by law.
You must therefore hold a license if you are a:
-
Construction contractor who performs or has work carried out for a third party, but also who submits, solicits customers or even places an ad in a newspaper or elsewhere.
-
Promoter who contracts to sell a building (house, condominium or other) or a street that he built, had built or that he promises to build or have built.
-
Owner of a building, equipment intended for public use or an installation subject to the Building Act who himself carries out work on his own behalf. You must then have an owner-builder license.
The dataset shows all active RBQ license holders.
