Duty-Free access to Beef and Veal originating from CPTPP member countries starting January 1, 2023 - Message to Industry

Under the Canada Tariff Elimination Schedule of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the out of access tariff on imports into Canada of fresh, chilled or frozen beef and veal originating from CPTPP member countries will be fully eliminated on January 1, 2023. Beef and veal which meet the rules of origin and other relevant requirements provided in the CPTPP will become duty-free as of this date.
