This report is the last in a series by the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and
International Trade looking at the emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China,
commonly known as BRIC.
It explores the implications of Brazil’s emergence as an economic and political force in our
own hemisphere and internationally, and highlights the economic, political and social
opportunities that stand to be gained through stronger Canada-Brazil relations.
