A compilation of agreements and instruments between Canada and the United Nations and its specialized bodies, covering institutional affiliation, privileges and immunities, headquarters arrangements, international judicial obligations, and multilateral environmental commitments. This set includes an affiliation agreement with the United Nations concerning the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform; Canada’s declaration accepting the compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice; a collection of UN Security Council resolutions adopted under Chapter VII relating to the situation in the Persian Gulf and embargo measures concerning Yugoslavia; an interim agreement on the status of the Montreal Ozone Secretariat; a headquarters agreement with the United Nations University concerning its International Network on Water, Environment and Health; a headquarters agreement with UNESCO establishing the seat of the UNESCO Institute for Statistics; and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change with annexes. Together, these instruments reflect Canada’s engagement with core United Nations institutions across legal, environmental, scientific, and administrative fields.
