The executive summary provides findings and recommendations from a formative evaluation of the pilot phase of the Elsie Initiative for Women in Peace Operations. The Initiative is a Canada-led, multi-stakeholder effort to increase the meaningful participation of uniformed women in the UN peace operations. Canada launched the Elsie Initiative as a five-year pilot (2017 to 2022) and extended it for another five years (2022 to 2027). The evaluation contributes to the strategy and implementation of the second phase of the Elsie Initiative.
