Weather Stations

Contained within the 4th Edition (1974) of the Atlas of Canada is a set of two maps. The first map shows the location of weather stations. Stations are denoted as having 25 to 30 year records within the period 1931 to 1960. As well, whether the station collected temperature data, precipitation data or both temperature and precipitation data is indicated. Stations with records of less than 25 years are also denoted but there is no differentiation shown for the type of data collected at these stations. The second map shows the average annual precipitation for the entire area of Canada.
