From September 2014 to June 2015 NETCARE scientists conducted an intensive snow sampling campaign at Alert, Nunavut, Canada. Fresh snow samples were collected every few days and analyzed for black carbon, major ions, metals, elemental carbon, and organic carbon.
Site Information:
Alert, Nunavut (82.49 N, 62.36 W, 201m a.m.s.l.). Snow samples were collected from two Teflon-surfaced snow tables located 1 m above ground level and in an open-air, minimal traffic site, about 6 km SSW of the Alert base camp.
