Report on the administration of the Access to Information Act

The Access to Information Act (the Act) was enacted on July 1, 1983.

The Act allows Canadian citizens, permanent residents and any person present in Canada a general to exercise a general right to access to information from a federal institution, subject to specific and limited exceptions.

The following annual reports detail the activities related to the application of the Act in Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. Pursuant to section 94 of the Access to Information Act and section 20 of the Service Fees Act, these were tabled in each House of Parliament.
